2017 FSRA North Regional/City Championship & More
Hi all rowing families. Here is the latest for the regattas this weekend. All rowers will be dismissed from class around 11:45, depart ESJ at 12, and arrive in Ortega around 12:30. The middle school kids will have their lunch at ESJ at their normal time. Upper school kids will need to bring a lunch and eat before 12:30. Your kids will take the same transportation they would normally take to the Boathouse to Ortega. The coaches will let the teachers know that your child w


Boys meet with Deerfield Academy
Good evening parents. I just wanted to give you an update on how things went today. The boys were ALL early for the bus. That is a great way to start the day. In the morning, the 1st boats rowed pieces together, the 2nd and freshman boat rowed pieces against the Deerfield 2nd boat and our 4 went against their 4. The order of the morning was to do 3 minute pieces, but after the first two, we switched to a different part of the lake because of the wind and did 2 minute piece


Boys Rowing
Well, we are at the midpoint of the season, and things have begun very well. The boys have been working hard, are getting faster and seem to be having a good time. This week, we have had three eights and a four coming to practice, and this is the group that we will take to Orlando on Saturday. Friday we will practice at 8 and again at noon. Hi all rowing parents, Regatta This week, ESJ rows against Pinecrest and Bolles. For the new parents, this regatta is for fun, trophies, and a year of bragging rights. Hi upper boat rowing parents, FRIDAY There is a lot going on Friday, between Grandparent's Day and the kids taking off for their first away regatta. We will depart at 12:15 on Friday from the Buck on two buses. School lets out at 11:30am for Grandparent's Day. Rowers can attend, but need to be on the bus by 12:15. This Monday and Tuesday Practice
Hi all rowing families, Monday and Tuesday, Mike will be taking videos of our seniors and additional videos for our end of the year banquet. This next part applies to only our upper school boats. We need every boy that rows on an upper boat to wear their unisuit on Monday. On Tuesday, the girls need to wear theirs. The coaches sent out a note to the kids, but please remind them.
