Welcome to Spring Rowing Season!

Welcome to the spring rowing season, where practice is off to a great start with an abundance of hard work and good enthusiasm! I wanted to send out an update, which is full of lots of useful information, and includes several action items requiring you to address. I apologize for the length of this email, but it is all very important.

Parent Leadership Group.

This spring the team will be led by Diane McCoy and Carole Daniel, who will coordinate the regatta food and logistics of feeding upwards of 115 rowers at our regattas.

With such a big travel squad and operation, they are looking for several other parents to help out, by committee of sorts, with all the logistics involved. Please contact Diane & Carole if you are interested in helping We have set up a stand alone email that they will use to communicate with the parents. That email address is esjrowingparents@gmail.com "Many hands make light work"

We will also be needing a Middle School lead parent as well.

INFO meeting- for new parents on Thursday, January 25th at 5:30pm at the Walton Boathouse.

To assist with this communications there is a closed Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/ESJrowing There is also another site on Facebook- Episcopal School of Jacksonville Rowing Team typically updated by the coaches.

Team REGATTA FEE.

This spring at our home regattas, as mentioned earlier in this email, the parent team will feed upwards of 115 rowers throughout the day. To cover the cost of food at the regattas and eliminate the constant ask for food donations, we will be charging the student accounts for the spring season. . Any left over balance at the end of the season will be used to lower the cost of the end of the season Team Banquet. All money collected will be held in the school account and used specifically for food and regatta supplies as needed. Note- Away meet Hotel and Transportation costs are billed on a per race basis, separate from this Regatta Fee.

Upper School Fee $120

Middle School Fee $60

We will once again host a few Friday night Team Pasta Dinners at the Boathouse to carb up for the races. Those dates will be announced at a later time.
